Grundfos UPM3 Underfloor Heating Pump with Thermostatic Blending Valve
The Grundfos UPM3 underfloor heating pump with thermostatic blending valve provides circulation and temperature control for water underfloor heating systems.
This complete UFH pump and mixing valve set combines a high-efficiency Grundfos UPM3 AUTO A-rated circulation pump with an adjustable thermostatic blending valve. The blending valve mixes the hot primary water with cooler return water to provide a controlled flow temperature to the underfloor heating manifold and pipe circuits.
Designed for use with underfloor heating flow and return manifolds, the mixing valve can be adjusted between 35°C and 60°C to suit the requirements of the UFH installation. The valve is factory pre-set to approximately 45°C and can be adjusted during system commissioning.

How Does the Blending Valve Work?
Underfloor heating generally operates at a lower water temperature than conventional radiator systems. The thermostatic blending valve mixes hotter primary water with cooler return water before it enters the UFH manifold.
This helps maintain a controlled water temperature through the underfloor heating circuits while the Grundfos UPM3 pump circulates water around the system.
The appropriate operating temperature should be set during installation and commissioning according to the UFH design, floor construction and heat-source requirements.
