Description

The Heatmiser Wireless Air Temperature Sensor is a flexible accessory that integrates smoothly with the Touch V2, Edge, and Neo systems. It can function as an individual temperature sensor or as part of a group for averaging temperature readings across a space.

With the Touch V2 and Edge models, the Wireless Air Sensor connects directly. In the Neo System, however, it pairs with the neoHub Gen 2, which then links it to the designated zone for optimal operation.

Neo System Integration

Adding the Wireless Air Sensor to your Neo System enhances its functionality. You can either monitor temperature from a single sensor or combine multiple sensors to achieve an average temperature reading over a larger area.

To connect, simply pair the Wireless Air Sensor with the neoHub Gen 2 through the Android or iOS app. Once linked, you have control over the system’s operational mode:

  • Monitoring Mode: Use the Wireless Air Sensor to monitor the temperature in another area of your home.
  • Pair to Zone: Connect the sensor to a neoStat thermostat already configured in your system.

When selecting “Pair to Zone,” you can choose between:

  • Averaging: The thermostat will determine an average temperature using readings from both the Wireless Air Sensor and its internal sensor.
  • Remote Only: The internal thermostat sensor is disabled, making the remote sensor the primary air sensor for that zone. Additional remote sensors can be connected for an average reading.

Enhance your heating system’s capabilities with the Heatmiser Wireless Air Temperature Sensor. Whether you need single-point accuracy or averaged readings from multiple sensors, this device offers refined comfort control.

Specifications:

  • Range: 40 meters
  • RF Frequency: 868 MHz
  • IP Protection: IP20
  • Weight (including battery): 16g

This sensor is designed for surface mounting.

To install, use a small coin to unscrew the battery cover by turning it counterclockwise. Remove the plastic tab to activate the battery, then reattach the cover. Pair the sensor with a compatible Heatmiser thermostat by pressing and holding the pairing button (refer to the pairing instructions for details).

Next, attach the double-sided adhesive disc to the back of the sensor. Select a location within range of the thermostat signal. Remove the adhesive backing on the other side of the disc, and firmly press the sensor onto the chosen surface.

Recommendation: Mount the sensor on a wall at a height of about 1.5 meters, away from direct heat sources like radiators. Avoid areas exposed to direct sunlight or drafts.
